To manage downloads in Chrome on a Mac, press Cmd+Shift+J to open the Downloads page, where you can pause, resume, retry, and reveal files in Finder. To change where files save, open Chrome Settings → Downloads. For large files, route downloads to a manager like Myan.
Find your downloads
- 1Press Cmd+Shift+J or click the download icon in the toolbar.
- 2See active and completed downloads in the list.
- 3Right-click an item to reveal it in Finder or copy its link.
Pause, resume, and retry
Click Pause beneath an active download to halt it and Resume to continue. If a download fails, click Retry. Note that Chrome's resume is unreliable for large files and may restart from zero.
Change the download folder
- 1Open Chrome Settings → Downloads.
- 2Set a new location under 'Location'.
- 3Enable 'Ask where to save each file' if you want to choose per download.
